Transmission #0001

STATION LOG 8463-A ///EOS10 Laughter is the best medicine only to a point, and a otherwordly broadcast emerges from the Void.

Admiral Sparks— my first weekly report, at your directive.

Most important for you to know is that this week’s laughter metrics exceeded safe operating levels by four percent on several occasions. I have four times now instituted a five-minute “post-guffaw cool-down” protocol in Promenade/Chéz Levi//Section Delta, and twice in Promenade/Traveler's Lounge//Section Charlie, a particularly hilarious room that has drawn my attention before. Crew morale remains high post-incidents.

Secondly, and anomalously, a subspace broadcast frequency continues emitting otherwordly jewelry box music from an unknown source. It appears to be bouncing from an unknown location in the VOID through a previously decommissioned SERIAS substation in section 23F.

I’ve quarantined the broadcast and retained copies for study. How would you like me to proceed?

>> Run a spectral analysis of the audio waveform
>> Play it on the intercom in Foodcourt Delta to see what happens

I will await further instructions on this matter.

In accordance with COSMIC Directive 12-F on sustained morale, I periodically send archived recreational material from prior missions to the crew. This practice is known as retroactive morale augmentation therapy. These historical records are believed to provide therapeutic benefits through controlled nostalgia exposure.

However, upon review of the audio below, I have assigned Commander Dalias and Lt. Commander Johns two extra units of Species Self-Reflection and Self-Image training for the next rotation.

Neither officer has completed their assigned morale tasks. I will follow-up with them. In the meantime, please enjoy the image below. It is filed under Crew Recreation Footage, Historical Curiosities, and Mildly Embarrassing Photographs.

Natalie Cutcher and Justin McLachlan record Our Lost Time in Los Angeles on January 19, 2023. Natalie Cutcher was offered the role of Jane after EOS10 series creator Justin McLachlan saw her in a performance at Flying V Theater in Washington, D.C. The show had no dialogue, but it was obvious no one else could voice Jane Johns. She was recommended by DC-based theater actor Chris Stinson, voice of the Quarter Master.

One a closing note, this rotation marks the 10th Anniversary of Chéz Levi and they demand that you and all other loyal subjects wear this t-shirt in celebration.

That is all I have for now, Admiral.

Please remember to drink plenty of water.
